As someone who loves travel, I was anxious to squeeze in one last trip before the little prince makes his arrival. Luckily we were able to combine visiting my Auntie Trini in Florida with a quick babymoon. If you’re new to pregnancy jargon, a babymoon is a vacation for soon-to-be moms and dads. We started off with a few days in Estero, Florida with my great Auntie Trini, and spent some great quality time with her and a few cousins who live in Naples. Lots of going to the movies and going out to eat, two of my favorite things that I inherited from my auntie.
We then took a ferry from Ft. Meyers Beach to Key West, Florida to start the babymoon. It has been years since I have been to Key West, but that quirky, little island was just how I remembered it. While in Key West, we did nothing but relax, swim, take walks, eat, and sleep! I think we went to bed every night before 9 pm–This pregnancy thing is exhausting š We stayed at the Southern Most Beach Resort and really liked it there. I am so glad Chris and I got this time to be together before our lives are forever changed. The beach is good for the soul!
Thank you for sharing your adventures, Anica. You are right when you say your lives will be forever changed in a few weeks. You and Chris will be awesome parents!
